Police Department

The Wentzville Police Department (WPD) is comprised of 84 Commissioned Law Enforcement professionals along with 22 full time and several part-time support staff employees. Chief Paul West leads the agency.  Major Leon Burton is the Assistant Chief of Police and oversees the Support Services,  Field Operations and Professional Standards Division, which consists of internal affairs, training, accreditation and hiring for the department.  Captain Emmanuel Borroum commands the Bureau of Field Operations and Captain Kevin Pyatt commands the Bureau of Support Services. 

The Field Operations Division is made up of all Road Patrol Platoons, Canine officers, Communication's Center and the Corrections Division. Road Patrol Officers are the backbone of the WPD and serve the community at large by responding to a variety of calls for service while combining a proactive approach to crime prevention by actively patrolling neighborhoods and business areas. 

The Support Services Division consists of those supporting functions of the police department. Encompassed in this Division are the traffic bureau, School Resource officers, S.T.A.R.T, Animal Control/Park Rangers, and the Detective Bureau.
