Volunteers can choose to remove litter or beautify a designated street, park area, lake, stream access or other location in need of attention. You can commit to participate for 3, 6, or 12 months. Projects can involve:
If you have an idea for a beautification project, please let us know! Volunteers are encouraged to monitor conditions at their adopted spot and report any problems to the Public Works staff at (636) 327-5101.
Participants committing to adopt a spot for 12 months or longer will be recognized on personalized signage located at their adopted spot. The signs will be installed after completing the first cleanup or beautification activity, and will remain for the duration of their commitment. Groups may also be acknowledged in the City's Vision newsletter and/or on this website.
Step 1: Request Spot to be Adopted
Contact the Adopt-a-Spot Coordinator at 636-327-5101 or by filling out the Adopt-a-Spot Request Form
Step 2: Submit Agreement
The Adopt-a-Spot Agreement states the commitment and timeframe option (3, 6, or 12-months) for the Adopt-a-Spot program. With this, you agree to the Adopt-a-Spot Program Guidelines.
Step 3: Schedule Your Activity
Once your Adopt-a-Spot request is approved, arrange a time to cleanup or beautify. If needed, arrange for supply pickup (i.e. trash bags, safety vests and latex gloves) the week before by calling the Adopt-a-Spot Coordinator at 636-327-5102. All volunteers must sign a Volunteer Waiver (below) in order to participate. If you cannot dispose trash bags, please leave them in a pile along a roadway and note that pickup is needed on your cleanup report.
Step 4: Share Your Success
Following each cleanup, return supplies, waivers and share your accomplishments by submitting a Cleanup Report by email or phone.
