2020 Water Main Projects
Beginning Monday March 30, 2020-
Bi-State Utilities (a contractor for the City) will be performing water main work on West Pearce Boulevard between Cheryl Ann and West Allen Street. During this project, Westbound traffic on Pearce Boulevard will be shifted into the center lane and Eastbound traffic will remain in the Eastbound lane. The work will consist of replacing the existing 6" water main with new 12" water main, new services to building meters, and reconstructing a sanitary sewer lateral. The expected duration for the work is approximately 60 days, weather permitting.

The water main installation is complete. Restoration of grass areas and an adjustment to the new fire hydrant will be coming in the next few weeks.

North Pointe Prairie Water Main Extension-
March 30, 2020-
Project is underway and nearing completion. This project consists of extending the existing 12” Water Main almost 900 feet from Shannon Place to Goodfellow Road within the Right of Way of North Pointe Prairie.
The new pipe is now installed and is currently in the testing phase. The pavement of North Pointe Prairie is also in the process of being replaced.

Construction of the water main is underway. Crews have been verifying the location of buried utilities and began removing pavement in the Westbound lane of Pearce in order to install the new water main. An existing underground utility was found to be in conflict with the proposed alignment for the new water main. The company that owns the utility has been notified and is working diligently to rectify the problem. There are currently no anticipated delays.
