NEW FALSE ALARM ORDINANCE
Effective August 1, 2012, the new False Alarm Ordinance will go into effect. It directs that after two false alarms have occurred, within a twelve month period, a letter is to be sent to the business owner/resident advising that any subsequent false alarms within a 12-month period of the first alarm will result in the imposition of a civil fine for recoupment.
Upon receipt of the third and any subsequent false alarms within a 12-month period, a partial expense reimbursement to the CIty shall be paid by the alarm owner for the false alarm as follows:
3rd false alarm $50.00, 4th and 5th false alarms $100 for each offense, 6th-9th false alarms $150 for each offense, and the 10th and all subsequent false alarms $200 for each offense.
Failure to pay this recoupment of civil fines is in violation of City of Wentzville Ordinance 100.190, punishable up to $500 fine and/or 90 days in jail.

New to Citizens!!!! Auto Accident Reports on-line!!!! For $13, citizens, insurance companies, and lawyers may now request copies of auto accident reports on-line by going to www.docview.us.com!! You do no have to call the Wentzville Police Department or come in to request the copy of the report! Once on the website, click on "Buy An Individual Report." From the drop down, select the state the crash occurred in (Missouri). Then scroll down and select "Wentzville Police Department." Enter the date of your accident, and then the report number (ex. 12-1234). Click next, and then once you locate your report, click on "Purchase." Follow the purchasing steps and your report will be made available to you. If you do not locate your accident report, it may not be available yet. It may take up to ten working days. Just try back in a couple days!
