The City of Wentzville contracts residential waste, recycling and yard waste collection through Wilson Waste Systems. This has enabled the City to provide a high level of service for all households at lower rates. Sanitation costs are consolidated with the water and sewer service monthly bill.
Solid Waste Pick Up Days
Solid Waste is picked up from all households in Wentzville once a week unless a second pickup day has been ordered. Residents living north of the railroad tracks will be picked up on Mondays, while those living south of the railroad tracks will be picked up on Tuesdays. Please have waste containers at the curb by 6:00 AM in the morning of your pick up.
Recycling Pick Up Service
Recycling is picked up on Wednesday. Every home receives a 65-gal blue recycle cart. We use a single-stream process which means you do not have to sort recyclables. Everything may be thrown in together. You will find a graphic on the top of the recycle cart showing what can be recycled. Please have recycle carts at the curb by 6:00 AM on Wednesday mornings.
Yard Waste Pick Up Service
Yard waste service runs from the 1st of March through the last week of December. Residents who subscribe for yard waste pickup are not charged for the Winter months. Yard waste is collected on Tuesdays for the North side of the City and the South side is collected on Mondays.
Setup Solid Waste Service
You can set up solid waste service along with water and sewer service on the
Application for Residential Occupancy and Utility Services or you can contact Public Works at 636-327-5102 or Utility Services at 636-639-2155.
Please note all required Residential Occupancy Inspections or Final inspections for new construction must be completed prior to occupying any property. There is also a deposit required when setting up a utility account.

To change sanitation services for your address please call Utiltiy Services at 636-639-2155, Public Works at 636-327-5102 or submit a solid waste change form.
Current rates are as follows:
- Sanitation once weekly - $11.99/month
- This is standard for all residents and includes recycling.
- A recycle cart is provided at no additional cost to you.
- Sanitation Senior Rate (62 or older) - $11.49/month
- Second weekly Sanitation pick up - $8.50/month
- Yard Waste (March - December) - $7.25/month (optional)
- Solid Waste Containers (96 gallon on wheels) - $2.50/month (optional)
- Yard Waste Containers (96 gallon on wheels) - $3.00/month (optional)
- Additional Recycling Cart (65-gallon on wheels) - $2.00/month (optional)
- Large Item Pick Up - $16.00/item
