Sanitation collection only observes 6 major holidays each year.
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas
If one of the listed holidays occurs Monday through Friday, sanitation pickup days will occur one day later than normal after the holiday. This will also affect all pickup days following in that week. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the schedule will not be affected.
Minor holidays such as: Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday or Veterans Day will not affect your sanitation pick up.
For example: Memorial Day falls on a Monday; trash pickup citywide will be delayed by one day. This means that residents with normal pickup scheduled on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday, etc. Residents who have a normal Friday pickup will have their trash picked up on Saturday.
