Wastewater

Service:

The current site of the Wentzville Water Reclamation Center was established in 1978 outside of Flint Hill, MO. The Reclamation Center is situated on a 54 acre track along McCoy Creek. In 1982 the Wastewater Facility underwent major improvements to accommodate General Motors coming to Wentzville. The city expanded the facility in 1999 to support the growth of the area. In 2006, the Reclamation Center is beginning its next major expansion. The current average flow to the Treatment Plant is 2,569,000 gallons per day.

Stream Team

The City of Wentzville Stream Team, comprised of the Water, Wastewater, and Service Departments, was established in 1998. Our adopted stream is McCoy Creek, and we monitor both upstream and downstream from the Treatment Plant, starting at Highway 61 and ending at Mette Road Bridge. Each year, we organize a clean up to remove trash and debris from the waterway. In addition to trash abstraction, the City of Wentzville Stream Team has also improved the water quality of McCoy Creek through stream bank stabilization, ground cover and tree planting, establishment of a no-plow zone, and the stenciling of storm drains.

   

Sewer Billing:

The City of Wentzville wastewater charge is billed monthly. The current sewer rate is $1.69 per 1,000 gallons, plus the minimum monthly charge.

Residential:

Sewer charges are calculated by winter averaging: water usages from November, December, January, and February are averaged each year to determine your monthly sewer bill for the following year.

• Current minimum monthly charge for wastewater, using a 3/4” or 5/8” meter, is $5.19.
• Sewer Tap-On Fee, using a 3/4” meter, is $2,100.
• Residential Sewer Deposit Only is $25, Residential Water and Sewer Combined Deposit is $50.00.

Commercial:

Sewer charges are calculated from your water usage each month.

• Current minimum monthly charge for wastewater, using a 1” meter, is $8.30. For minimum charges for meters larger than 1”, see Section 715.030 of Municipal Code.
• Sewer Tap-On Fee, using a 1” meter, is $3,360. For tap-on fees of meters larger than 1”, see Section 715.010 of Municipal Code.
• Commercial Water and Sewer Combined Deposit is $150.00.

Payments:

You may drop off your payment or mail it to either City Hall (310 West Pearce Blvd.) or Public Works (200 East Fourth Street.)

Twenty –four hour night drop box service is available at both City Hall and Public Works.
