Moving into Wentzville
This page is designed to help residents and real estate agents become familiar with procedures and requirements for moving into the City. This should answer questions regarding applications, inspections, and setting up utility accounts.
Occupancy Permits may be picked up at:
City Hall

New Resident Moving into a New House:
- Complete Residential Occupancy Permit (used to setup water, sewer & trash)
- Return to City Hall or Public Works along with $50 utility deposit
- Required on or before closing date
New Resident Moving into a Pre-Owned House:
- Completion of Occupancy Inspection (prior to closing) - $35 fee
(ordered and paid by seller or buyer)
- Schedule 24 hours in advance of inspection
- Inspection fee must be paid prior to scheduling inspection
- Complete Residential Occupancy Permit (used to setup water, sewer & trash)
- Return to City Hall or Public Works along with $50 utility deposit
Current Resident Moving into a New House:
