Lost Animal

What Do I Do if My Animal is Lost/Missing/Impounded?

If an animal is lost, missing or impounded for running at large, the owner will need to contact Animal Talk Medical Center at (636) 332-5900, 12678 Veterans Memorial Pkwy., Wentzville, MO 63385, to see if they have an animal matching the description of the lost pet. Hours of operation for Animal Talk are:

24 Hour Emergency Services

The owner will need to respond to Animal Talk Medical Center in Wentzville. The owner will be required to provide the following:

  • Positive identification of pet
  • Proof of rabies vaccination
  • Payment for required fees for boarding, rabies vaccination, euthanizing, quarantine and/or cremation.

Animal Talk Pricing:

  • Rabies vaccination:  $33.99
  • St. Charles County rabies tag unaltered: $30
  • St. Charles County rabies tag altered (neutered): $10
  • Microchip: $39.50
  • Microchip registration fee (check made out to Homeagain): $17.99
  • Quarantine boarding fee: $31/day
  • Boarding fee: $30/day--if the pet is released before 12 pm on the second day, then only half day's boarding fee of $15 will be charged for that day.
  • Adoption fee: $30/day 

A municipal summons may also be issued and mailed to the animal owner.  A court appearance may also be required and an additional fine may be imposed by the Municipal Judge.
