What Do I Do if My Dog is Lost/Missing/Impounded?
If your dog is lost, missing, or impounded for running at large, you will need to contact the Animal Talk Medical Center at 636-332-5900, 12678 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385 to see if they have an animal matching the description of your animal. Their hours of operation are:

If they have your pet, the owner may be required to respond to the Animal Talk Medical Center facility to positively identify their pet.
Once the animal is positively identified, the owner will need to respond to Wentzville City Hall, 310 W. Pearce Blvd., Wentzville, MO 63385 636-327-5101 to get a release for the animal. City Hall’s hours of operation are:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on evenings of Board of Aldermen meetings, they are open until 7:00 pm (usually the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month)
Prior to the release papers being issued, the owner will have to provide to the City:
- Proof of rabies vaccination
- Pay fine ($5 first offense, $25 second offense, and $50 for third offense & thereafter)
Once the release is received, you will need to respond to Animal Talk Medical Center in Wentzville. You will then need to provide them the following:
- Release receipt from City Hall
- Proof of rabies vaccinations
- Pay required fees
Fees for release of animal are as follows:
- Boarding Fees $30.00 per day
- Rabies Vaccination $20.00 plus tag and registration
- Euthanize Animal (Included in cost of daily boarding fee)
- Quarantine Kennel Boarding Fee $35.00 per day
