Heartland Park is in the heart of the City's dynamic commercial area.  Heartland Park presents exciting expansion opportunities for the City's Parks and Recreation amenities.  Full development plans include four dual-purpose sports fields that will provide our children soccer and football fields for games and practices.  Other planned features are trails, picnic shelters, a playground, two man-made detention lakes, a pier, on-the-water shelter and a boardwalk.  Heartland Park will be developed in three phases when the City secures a funding source, such as a specially-designated sales tax. 

Phase 1 includes park entry, signage, landscaping, parking lot, two dual-use soccer/football fields, trail, lake feature, pier shelter, boardwalk, riparian landscape and wildlife enhancement at lake area.
