Wentzville First Home Down Payment Assistance

 

In 2005 The City of Wentzville entered into an agreement with St. Louis County and other Municipalities to form a Consortium.  The Consortia pools population totals when applying for Federal Grant opportunities to make them available in each jurisdiction.  The City has contracted to offer down payment assistance to first time home buyers in the form of a $10,000 loan.  Zero interest loans take second position at closing however, upon future sale of the property, grants must be returned.

 

The Wentzville First Home Flyer offers guidance for eligibility and participation.  Candidates seeking approval for down payment assistance must apply through one of the housing counseling agencies listed on the flyer.  For additional questions you may consult the Building Commissioner/Grants Administrator.
