Wentzville is primarily served by the Wentzville R-IV School District. The School District is located in Saint Charles County, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and the fastest growing area in Missouri . The Wentzville School District is geographically located in the western part of the county or 40 miles west of downtown St. Louis.
The District is home to corporate offices and industries such as General Motors (sole producer of GM's full-size van), MasterCard Worldwide, and CenturyTel Telephone Operations. The District serves an 89-square mile area including all or part of Dardenne Prairie, Foristell, Lake Saint Louis, O'Fallon and Wentzville.
In addition, Wentzville is home to Midwest University and a satellite campus of Lindenwood University. We also have several private parochial schools, early childhood development schools and licensed day cares.
In the Wentzville region there are numerous opportunities for higher education. There is the University of Missouri-St Louis, Webster University, St Louis University, Fontbonne University, Washington University, Maryville University, Logan College of Chiropractic, St Louis Christian College, and the St Louis College of Pharmacy. There is also St Charles Community College and St Louis Area Community Colleges. Within 1 ½ hours of Wentzville is the University of Missouri – Columbia, Stephens College, Columbia College, Columbia College, Westminster College, William Woods College and Hannibal-LaGrange College. The Lewis and Clark Vo-Tech and Pike-Lincoln Technical Center are also in close proximity.
