Downtown Redevelopment Plan

In November of 2008, the City commissioned George Butler and Associates (GBA) to assist in the development of a Downtown Redevelopment Plan for the Village Center.  The Plan was finished and adopted by the Board of Aldermen in May of 2009.  In January, 2010, the Planning and Zoning Commission formally adopted the Plan as a part of the City's Comprehensive Plan.

This Plan will guide the City as redevelopment occurs in the Village Center area.  It includes design elements for new and expanding businesses, streetscape design, and public amenities.  It also addresses future expansion infrastructure needs of the downtown area.
