Large-Item Pickup

Schedule a Pickup
Throughout the year, you can schedule a large-item pickup for large items such as furniture, carpet, mattresses, refrigerators, TVs, bicycles, drywall, boards (cut to 4' or shorter in length) or excessive amounts of trash. There is a charge for these large-item pickups and they must be scheduled minimum of 2 business days in advance of the resident's sanitation pickup day. Some waste items need special attention or because of their size cannot be placed out with regular trash. For a list of accepted items, click hereThe following items will not be accepted;  tires, batteries, waste oil, yard waste, concrete, bricks, railroad ties, hot tubs, wet paint, any liquids, items that are too heavy to be lifted by two people and car or engine parts.  Basketball hoops, bicycles, fire pits and trash cans will not be accepted, unless the resident calls in at least 2 business days before their pickup day and clearly states that they want it picked up. Appliances, such as iceboxes, refrigerators, freezers, or other airtight or semi-airtight, container with a fastening device, must be emptied with the door's hinges, latches or other hardware removed.

To dispose of items that are not acceptable for Large-Item pickup or regular collections service, please contact St. Charles County Recycle Works West  to inquired about disposal. St. Charles County Recycle Works West is located at 2110 E. Pitman Avenue, Wentzville, MO 63385.

Free Large-Item Pickups
Twice a year, Wentzville offers free large-item pickups. This is the perfect opportunity to free up some space in your garage or basement. The free events are held once each fall and spring. The free pickups are for Wilson Waste Residential customers only, who live within the City of Wentzville.

The next  free large-item pickup will be held May 1-5, 2017 and October 2-6, 2017.  To participate in the free large-item pickup, simply place your large items at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled sanitation pickup day. Please limit to only four items per household. The items listed above in red, will not accepted.
