Crossroads Arts Council
Crossroads Arts Council (CAC) is a group of artists and art enthusiasts who are dedicated to nurturing, improving, and enhancing the visual and performing art opportunities in the Wentzville community.
Mission of the CAC
"To cultivate, nurture and grow the arts in our community by supporting local artists. We hope to promote civic values and make the City a more attractive place to live, work and visit. We aim to share original art that has been created by people living right here in our own neighborhoods."
The CAC offers educational classes and workshops for novice artists or anyone who experience the arts in a hands-on environment. Even if you do not have experience as an artist, the classes are taught by experienced artists who enjoy teaching others the joy they find in creating something special. CAC at Splash Station Aquatic Center
The City of Wentzville and the Crossroads Arts Council (CAC) have partnered to work on a mural at the Splash Station Aquatic Center. This facility offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase local talent and place public art in place that many people gather and recreate.
The plan for this project is to bring together local artists to create a 600 square foot aquatic inspired mosaic that will be the center piece of the facility. Obviously, the CAC does not shy away from large projects. The size of this mosaic project will require it be done in several phases.
How can you help?
The Crossroads Arts Council is just getting started and can use support in funding the supplies and materials to create this wonderful, eye-catching attraction. Show your support for this project with a donation to help purchase supplies (i.e. clay, glaze, glue, sealer, stain) or volunteer to assist in the building of the mosaic.
For more information on how you can donate or assist in making the mosaic, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
