Community Colleges
St. Charles Community College is a public, two-year college offering more than 60 degree and certificate program pathways in the arts and sciences as well as occupational/technical fields. Tuition is the most affordable in the area, and the college has an open admissions policy to provide access to all persons who can benefit from educational programs and services. The 135-acre, seven-building campus on Mid Rivers Mall Drive recently expanded to include the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building with a 400-seat theater, the Continuing Education/Academic Center, and the Child Development Center.
Community-based classes, workshops, and seminars are available through an active continuing education program that develops partnerships with schools, businesses, agencies, and institutions. The college's Business & Industry Institute meets the training needs of many companies in the area, and hundreds of classes and outreach programs are offered through the community services office. The college's expanding services reflect its mission to remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of a growing community.
